The kitten has really got into our hearts.
As you can see we managed to keep him alive and his general condition slightly improved.
Finally the vet was back in town and we took him for a check-up and treatment. I didn't take photos of the treatment before I was too worried to think about it at the time and the kid from the family that's helping to take care of him was crying so all I got was a couple of pictures in the waiting room and you can see that even though he's very sick that he wants to make friends with other animals.
After a short wait he was first weighed (400 grammes- about 24ounces) the vet cleaned his eyes, a few injections of antibiotics, vitamins and some other stuff and a blood sample taken which later showed that he had a low white blood cell deficiency. The vet says that he has a fair chance of survival but can't be certain.
We took him back home in a Filipino tricycle.
He's still pretty weak and sleeps a lot, cuddles a lot, always searching contact but there's still some risk, it depends if his immune system will start working properly and if his blood count gets better. Let's hope everything goes well, he deserves a good life. I'll keep updating you all every Wednesday if possible because Wednesdays are Wednesday's days.
See you next time and until then have a wonderful week.
